We Welcome a new doctor!

Merryl Reiss, DVM

Merryl Reiss, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, has been a veterinarian happily since 2004. Her interest in science and helping animals has been with her since childhood, making a veterinary career a natural choice.

After completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Ross University in St. Kitts, and Auburn University, in Auburn, Alabama, she completed a one-year internship in veterinary medicine and surgery at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in Plainview, New York, which included additional training in emergency medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, neurology, and dermatology. Feeling welcomed by the Long Island community during the internship, she decided to remain in the Huntington area for seven years.

After becoming a mother of twins, she and her husband decided to move back to her hometown of Atlanta, so that the children could be closer to their grandparents. Plus, “there’s no place like home” and Dr. Reiss is proud to be an Atlanta native. Most of all, she is excited to be a part of the Peachtree Corners Animal Clinic family.

We Welcome a new Groomer!

Brittany Hollier - Groomer

I’m originally from south Louisiana, I grew up in New Orleans and moved to Atlanta in 2006. I have a rescue dog named Chewie that I adopted in 2011. He is part Australian Shepherd, Brittany Spaniel, and possibly part Wookie.

I started working for PetSmart as a bather in February 2013. After only a month of being a bather I was offered a spot in their upcoming grooming academy, which started in April. I graduated from PetSmart’s grooming academy in August 2013. I continued with PetSmart until July 2015, which was when I became a grooming salon leader at Petco. In December 2017 I joined the team at Peachtree Animal Clinic and I’m very excited to be here.

My favorite part about grooming is being able to meet so many different dogs/cats and their owners. I truly enjoy learning all of their different personalities and developing a bond with each pet and pet parent.

My favorite breed cut is a Schnauzer pattern. I also enjoy providing furminator’s (deshedding treatments) on Golden Retriever’s, Border Collies, Australian Shepherd’s, and other various fluffy pups.
